Learning and Teaching Strategies :
We emphasize the importance of Chinese and English language learning. In addition to cultivating students' traditional Chinese cultural qualities, appropriate English supplementary teaching materials are used for Mathematics and General Studies (Science and Life) to enrich students' English learning experience. We also actively promote experiential learning and BYOD (Bring your own device) e-learning program, making good use of electronic information technology devices to promote independent learning.
Life-wide Learning:
We emphasize on the holistic development, physical and mental health, and the cultivation of multiple intelligences of our students. In addition to the regular curriculum, we provide students with diversified learning experiences in the form of "Specialist-in-Classes", and provide various extra-curricular or professional training activities such as physical arts and music interest classes after class, in order to promote the development of multiple intelligences of our students, so that they can express themselves, realize their potentials, and give full play to their strengths.
Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:
Through regular collaborative lesson planning and progress meetings, we select and design the most appropriate learning materials for students to achieve the best learning outcomes.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The School provides additional support to admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group/small group learning, etc.); and organizing inclusive campus activities.
