The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, group/cluster learning, etc. on a need basis); organizing inclusive school activities; and providing additional support (e.g. pull-out learning, pinyin teaching materials, etc.) to NCS students as and when necessary in the context of the implementation of Putonghua teaching across the board for some of the grades in the school (i.e., for all classes/groups). Additional support (e.g. pull-out/group learning, phonics teaching materials, etc.) will be provided.
Home school cooperation:
The school emphasizes home-school communication and has an active Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and Parent-Manager (PM) to develop a close partnership with the school. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) organizes a variety of parent-child activities, such as the Mid-Autumn Festival Lantern Party, Parent-Child Adventure Activities, the Chinese New Year Parent-Child Trip, and the Parent-Child Flag Day, etc. The PTA has also implemented the "Outstanding Parents Award Scheme" to encourage parents to actively participate in school activities and to support the school development by serving as parent volunteers. The school actively promotes parent education to support children's learning.
