Small class teaching and mobile classes are arranged according to students' performance. Through diversified learning activities, individual differences are taken care of in order to construct knowledge and implement whole-person education.
Life-wide Learning:
1. Educational visits, uniformed teams, leadership training, service learning, sports and arts school team training, English drama, weekly meetings, moral education talks, etc.
2. After-school activities such as African Drum Class, Korean Dance Class, Choir, Kung Fu Searching, Music Beanstalks, Hand Chimes, Programming Team, Book Pioneers, Taekwondo, Boxing Class, Rainbow Chimes, Violin, Guitar, and Arts and Crafts Classes.
Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:
A variety of teaching techniques are used to tailor or enrich the curriculum to meet the different learning needs of students. The curriculum emphasizes the enhancement of students' language proficiency. In Chinese, e-learning and school-based teaching materials are used to enhance students' reading, writing, listening and speaking skills; in English, students' speaking and writing skills are enhanced through the enrichment of teaching materials and participation in the Reel to Real program. In Mathematics, we participate in school-based support programs to develop students' self-learning skills.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese language learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese language teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, small group/group learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing inclusive campus activities.
Home school cooperation:
A culture of home-school co-operation is established through a wide range of activities such as parent days, seminars, parent-child trips, parent-child education series and the organization of parent volunteer groups.
