Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:
Focused and extended curricula are provided for each subject, and the development of the longitudinal curriculum is regularly reviewed and the teaching contents are adapted according to the learning needs of students; the scope of silent writing is reduced, the amount of homework is adjusted, and a silent writing plus marking system, enlarged examination scripts, and extra time are provided for students with special learning needs.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; organizing inclusive school activities; and providing additional support (e.g., pull-outs/group learning, Pinyin teaching materials, etc.) as necessary in the implementation of Putonghua education across the board for some of the grades in the School (i.e., for all classes/groups).
