Learning and Teaching Strategies :

2. Cultivate proper values and attitudes through prayers, morning meetings, monthly training, personal growth education manuals, social worker training, elections and flag-raising ceremonies.
3. to implement "cross-curricular teaching of reading themes" to sustain the development of students' reading interests and habits, and to integrate reading and cross-curricular theme-based learning to enhance students' learning abilities for lifelong learning and whole-person development.

Life-wide Learning:

The school has more than 40 extra-curricular activities and after-school interest classes to promote whole-person education and multiple-intelligence development, such as Little Pioneers of Christ, Boy Scouts, Little Girl Guides, Environmental Ambassadors, Sacred Heart Little Gardeners, Choir, Hand Bells, E-Band, Dance, Taekwondo, Fencing, Tennis, Mini Tennis, Basketball, Dodgeball, Athletic Training, Rope Skipping, STEM, and many other physical activities, and more than 10 groups of top student training.

Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:

Taking care of the diversity of students, according to the different needs of students, through a variety of activities and courses to inspire students to develop their potential in various aspects, such as top-notch classes in various subjects, thinking training classes, and a variety of sports and arts training.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, group/cluster learning, etc. on a need basis); organizing inclusive school activities; and providing additional support (e.g. pull-out learning, pinyin teaching materials, etc.) to NCS students as and when necessary in the context of the implementation of Putonghua teaching across the board for some of the grades in the school (i.e., for all classes/groups). Additional support (e.g. pull-out/group learning, phonics teaching materials, etc.) will be provided.

Home school cooperation:

The school has set up a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to support the school and to promote the relationship between the school and the family. The PTA works together with the Sacred Heart Parent Volunteer Team to help with school activities such as the library, student lunches, and various events. Through volunteering, parents learn about the school's operations, connect with teachers as partners in parenting, and provide suggestions for school improvement.

Environmental Policy:

To formulate a "School-based Environmental Policy" which emphasizes education on sustainable development and enables students to practise environmental protection in their daily lives. It is promoted in various aspects, including participation of the whole school community, greening of the school environment, the "4-Use Principle", resource recycling, energy conservation and integration into academic subjects. Students are the core members of the program, including Environmental Ambassadors, Environmental Pioneers, Sacred Heart Gardeners and Energy Ambassadors.
