School Wind:

Students are nurtured by the five core values of the Catholic Church, and the school is characterized by simplicity and a harmonious relationship between teachers and students. The school actively promotes a caring and positive culture, and cultivates in students an attitude of respect for others. Through community service, students build up their self-confidence, give back to the community, and realize the spirit of love for the Lord, love for others, and love for the earth.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

1. to promote STEM and e-assessment tools for interactive teaching and learning, to cultivate students' self-learning ability, and to develop learning and teaching in a holistic and diversified manner.
2. to enhance English language learning through the establishment of English Day, English Drama Education, and the Foreign Exchange Student In-school Collaboration Program.
3. Enhance gifted education by setting up top-notch training programs, including English drama, debate and STEM groups.

Life-wide Learning:

The first type is teacher-led activities and after-school training, in which all students have the opportunity to participate, including sports, dance, choir, hand bells, art creation, drama, debates, campus reporters, Putonghua recitation, IT pioneers, STEM groups, Christian pioneers, Mathletes, and uniformed teams. Another type of interest class is organized outside school hours, which is both academic and fun.

Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:

To cater for students with different abilities, each subject is adapted, tailored and school-based to suit the curriculum. Online and tablet computers are utilized for pre-testing and assessment. To provide homework, dictation, writing adaptation and after-school homework support for students with special learning needs.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: after-school Chinese learning support; intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, group/group learning, etc.); inclusive school activities; and additional support (e.g. pull-out/group learning, Pinyin teaching materials, etc.) as needed in the implementation of Putonghua teaching across the board (i.e. all classes/groups) in some of the school's grades.

Home school cooperation:

In order to strengthen the communication and cooperation between home and school, and to establish a close and harmonious relationship, we have set up a Parents' Association, Parents' Seminar, School Newsletter, Parenting Tips, Primary Parents' Association, Parent-Child Interest Classes, Parent-Child Trips, Parent Evangelization Activities, and Parent Volunteer Group. Parent representatives attend bid review meetings and serve as members of the school's "Healthy School" team to help promote school policies. Tea gatherings are organized from time to time for the principal and parents to strengthen the communication between home and school.

Environmental Policy:

The school actively promotes and practises environmentally friendly living and attitudes at home and at school.
