Objective: The school adheres to the mission of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals to provide whole-person education to enable students to develop their potential, knowledge and skills, independent thinking and a spirit of commitment to serve the community in the future. Classroom teaching model:
Small class sizes for grades 1-6, with pull-out Chinese/English/Math tutorials for grades that need them to address learning differences. Grades 2-6 have an elite class at each grade level to teach Chinese in Putonghua; Native English teachers collaborate with English teachers in Grades 1-3 in the PLPR/W program.
Placement in classes:
There are elite classes from Primary 2 to Primary 6, which are more in-depth and extensive with enrichment elements, and the Chinese subject is taught in Putonghua. The other classes are mixed ability classes, with a pull-out remedial teaching team for Chinese/English/Maths and a pull-out Chinese teaching team for non-Chinese speaking students at some levels.
