School History

Year of Establishment: 1997
Sponsor: Sik Sik Yuen
Objective: To uphold the teachings of Master Wong Tai Sin on "Universal Charity and Good Counsel" and to teach students to cultivate their moral character through the essentials of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, and to promote the spirit of charity and service to the community. We emphasize the development of students' five faculties and cultivate their ability to think independently, as well as their habit of self-learning and their attitude towards lifelong learning.
School motto: "Universal Relief and Good Counseling".
Management structure: The school adopts a through-train mode of operation for both primary and secondary schools, which is monitored by the Incorporated Management Committee (IMC), and has set up groups such as School Administration, Learning and Teaching, and Student Headmasters, etc., to manage and implement the 12-year curriculum, so as to achieve the effect of whole-person education.

Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:

The language curriculum is based on the premise of creating a good language environment for the development of biliteracy and trilingualism, and incorporates classical reading elements, such as The Rules of Discipleship, Tang Dynasty poems, and the Four Great Masterpieces of China, in order to pass down traditional Chinese culture and enhance reading skills. The English Language Program is implemented under the PLP-R/W (Primary Reading and Writing Program), which is co-taught by both expatriate and English language teachers, to fully cater for the needs of students in their learning of languages.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The School provides additional support to its admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese language learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese language teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group/small group learning, etc.); developing a school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; organizing inclusive school activities; and employing additional staff and/or purchasing additional translation/interpretation services to facilitate communication with parents. Home school cooperation:

The PTA actively organizes various activities with the school, such as PTA members' meetings, parent-child trips, uniform transfers, interest classes and workshops, etc., to make full use of the cooperation between home and school. Environmental Policy:
