School Wind:

The school emphasizes on the discipline and character development of students, and builds a caring campus through a whole-school approach and home-school cooperation. Through classroom management, growth lessons, school-based learning activities, and moral education seminars, the school establishes students' correct values and attitudes. In addition, through comprehensive counseling services and activities, and parent education seminars, students are provided with comprehensive growth support.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

Emphasis is placed on the development of biliteracy and trilingualism. For Chinese Language, Cantonese is used as the medium of instruction for Primary 1 to Primary 4, while Putonghua is used as the medium of instruction for other grades. In English, the Space Town program is implemented in Primary One. In Mathematics, problem-solving teaching has been introduced; in General Studies, inquiry-based learning with STEM elements has been introduced; and e-learning has been integrated into all subjects. In addition to classroom learning, the school offers a wide range of life-wide learning activities such as outdoor learning days, out-of-country learning exchanges, and field trips. During lunch time, the English Room, Mathematics Room, General Studies Room, Visual Arts Room, Computer Room and Library are open to the public, and different subject groups have their own activities during lunch time.

Life-wide Learning:

Extra-curricular activities are divided into long-term and short-term groups, such as: Chinese Dance, Mathematical Olympiad, Poetry, Acrobatics, Rope Skipping, English Drama, Ball Games and Uniformed Teams, etc., in order to explore the potential of students' physical and artistic skills, and to maximize their talents, so as to achieve the goal of "one person, one art". In addition, after school, professional instructors will lead Chinese Music Class, Taekwondo Class, Bead Counting Class, English Pinyin Class, and Go Class.

Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:

For students with special learning needs, school-based adaptations will be made in homework and assessment, and different after-school programs will be arranged to provide assistance.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to facilitate their Chinese language learning by: employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support the Chinese language learning of NCS students; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, group/cluster learning, etc.); organizing inclusive school activities; and providing additional support (e.g. pull-out/cluster learning, pinyin teaching materials, etc.) as necessary in the implementation of Putonghua teaching at all levels (i.e., in all classes/groups) in the School. (e.g. pull-out/group learning, phonics teaching materials, etc.).

Home school cooperation:

The school emphasizes home-school cooperation and works with the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to organize a wide range of parent-child activities, interest classes and parent seminars. Teachers maintain close contact with parents through phone calls, face-to-face meetings, home visits, and parent seminars to enhance communication and exchange of ideas. Parents are also informed of the latest school information through the Home-School Association Newsletter. Regular home-school meetings are held to provide valuable advice.

Environmental Policy:

By planting flowers and trees and organizing green campus activities, students are able to participate in a wide range of environmental protection activities to arouse their concern for environmental protection and experience green living, thereby cultivating in them an attitude of caring for the environment and cherishing resources.
Furthermore, each class participates in planting activities to practice environmental protection in their daily school life.
