Teacher professional training and development:
In view of the continuous development of the education profession, the capacity of teachers needs to be upgraded continuously. At the same time, in order to guide students to learn effectively and to provide appropriate training and counseling services, teachers need to learn diversified teaching methods and skills in dealing with students' problems, so as to achieve good educational results. The school organizes regular training activities in the school, such as teacher training days, workshops, seminars, etc. It also promotes collaborative teaching, collaborative lesson planning and peer lesson observation to enhance the effectiveness of teachers' teaching. The school also arranges exchange visits such as alumni school visits, professional networking with alumni schools in the district, and encourages teachers to participate in seminars, workshops or lectures organized by universities, educational organizations or government. Some teachers also attend part-time degree courses at local universities after school.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
The school has established a Learning Support Committee (SEN SEN). The Committee comprises the Assistant Headteacher, the SEN Co-ordinator and the Educational Psychologist. The Committee works in collaboration with the Discipline Committee, the Guidance Committee and all subject teams to provide appropriate and diversified support services to enhance the learning effectiveness of students and to facilitate their integration into school life.
The school makes flexible use of the Learning Support Grant to recruit additional staff, including tutors, to help support SEN students. The team also makes good use of the subsidy to purchase professional services, such as speech therapy and occupational therapy. We also cooperate with social welfare organizations outside the school to organize multi-intelligence social groups and interest groups to support students with hyperactivity and autism. The school also spares no effort in nurturing students with dyslexia. After-school support is provided for SEN students, with the Chinese and English subjects being taught by subject teachers to enhance students' learning effectiveness. Parent-child activities were also organized in collaboration with social workers and were very effective. Students interacted with their parents through learning activities or work experience, which enhanced their communication and relationship with each other.
