Learning and Teaching Strategies :

1. To emphasize diversified teaching, encourage teacher-student interaction and collaborative learning, and organize different forms of life-wide learning activities, with the aim of enhancing students' creativity and critical thinking skills, enriching students' learning experiences in areas such as moral education, career planning and social services, and developing students' spirit of independent learning.
2. Each classroom is equipped with computers, physical projectors and televisions to facilitate teachers' IT teaching. In recent years, many tablet computers have been installed to enhance students' learning autonomy through mobile e-learning.
3. The curricula are tailored to students' abilities and needs, and for a number of subjects at junior secondary level, teachers are responsible for developing their own "school-based curricula" to help students acquire knowledge and build up their thinking skills.
4. The introduction of small group teaching for all junior secondary major subjects has reduced the teacher-student ratio and helped to cater for students' learning needs.

Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The school is committed to the implementation of integrated education and the creation of a caring and inclusive school atmosphere, so that students with special learning needs are given equal opportunities to develop their strengths and demonstrate their learning outcomes in a safe and respectful learning environment. "The Student Support Team, comprising the Deputy Principal, the SEN Co-ordinator, the SEN Support Teacher, the Academic Affairs Teacher, the Language Teacher, the Social Worker, the Educational Psychologist and the Speech Therapist, meets on a regular basis to devise appropriate support plans for students with SEN. There are frequent exchanges and discussions between the support team and the class teachers on the learning and adaptation support for individual students. The school also flexibly utilizes the Learning Support Grant to provide students with SEN with appropriate assistance through a variety of support modes and to build up a caring and inclusive campus. These modes of support include employing additional teaching staff to provide individual counselling or assessment and adjustment, participating in the School-based Support Programme for Autism Spectrum Disorders, and organizing training groups and inclusive activities, such as socialization training, reading and writing training, executive training, concentration training, flyer training, dog-aided guidance, and training courses for dogs and other children. The school also emphasizes on home-school cooperation. The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
