Learning and Teaching Strategies :
- The school emphasizes that learning and teaching must be student-centered. In order to improve classroom teaching, independent cooperative learning is implemented at all levels.
- Apart from classroom teaching, the school has been actively expanding its resources to implement life-wide learning, including Secondary 1 Education Camp, Senior Secondary Geography Camp, Senior Secondary Biology Camp, Student Business Experience Scheme, Summer Internship Scheme and Mentorship Scheme of the Hong Kong Management Association.
- The junior secondary curriculum is based on the development of basic learning skills in Chinese, English and Mathematics. Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
The school is committed to building an inclusive culture and adopting a Whole School Approach to support students with special educational needs (SEN). Through the utilization of the School Development Grant, Learning Support Grant and community resources, the school aims to enhance the learning effectiveness of students with SEN and facilitate their integration into school life. The Student Support Team of the school is led by the Coordinator of Special Education and comprises the School-based Educational Psychologist, the School-based Speech Therapist, the Head of Chinese, English and Mathematics, the Academic Affairs Officer and the Guidance Counselor in order to provide comprehensive support to students with SEN. The "Student Support Team" collaborates with other sections to strengthen the support for students with SEN at both learning and teaching levels. In addition, the school provides the following support measures for students with SEN: after-school homework tutorials and pre-test revision classes; social group training; Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) developed by the school-based Educational Psychologist; speech therapy services; learning, homework and test accommodations; the school makes good use of the resources in the community and participates in activities organized by different organizations to provide diversified support services for students, e.g. enhancing communication skills.
