School Wind:

Our school is committed to implementing various activities to nurture our students to become "self-confident, caring and committed", and to promote the spirit of the school motto, "To build oneself up and to achieve excellence". Our school is committed to building a "positive and grateful culture". We have implemented a double class teacher system in the Junior Forms, and there are also two Grade Officers in each grade to strengthen the care for our students. Through various activities, such as character development, life education, and reward and punishment systems, we help students understand right and wrong, establish correct self-worth, and cultivate a positive outlook and attitude towards life. We have strengthened the training of our leadership students through workshops and training camps to cultivate in them the courage to take up responsibilities and the spirit of teamwork. Through the "One Person, One Job" program in class, we develop students' autonomy and self-discipline to achieve the goal of "Self-Reliance". Our students actively participate in community services. For example, all students in S.2 and S.4 participate in the Elderly Service every year by giving performances and paying home visits to the elderly, so as to realize the spirit of "Achievers". Our school also makes good use of the weekly assembly and lunch time to organize different activities to cultivate students' attitude of "learning through diversity, contributing to the community and reaching out to others".

In 2013, we organized the "Outstanding Students Outbound Study Tour" to reward students with outstanding performance in academics, morals, physical and sports, leadership and service, and whole-person development with free overseas study tours. We also recognize students who are punctual, diligent and compliant with rules and regulations with the "Attendance Award" and "Conduct Award", and encourage them to be active and progressive through the "Rak Chai Rak Girl Reward" and "Self-achievement Reward Scheme". We also encourage students to make positive progress through the "Ratcha Ratcha Reward" and "Self-achievement Award Program" to build up a harmonious and pleasant campus together.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

In collaboration with the "School-based Support Scheme" of the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Association of Heads of Secondary Schools, our school makes good use of the advantages of "Small Class Teaching" and vigorously promotes "Independent Learning". Students systematically conduct pre-language learning, complete the guided learning plan, and present the results of the pre-language learning. All teachers are equipped with tablet computers, and each classroom is equipped with 86-inch interactive display panels to enhance e-learning, increase classroom interactivity, and improve learning effectiveness. Our school has diversified reading activities, such as the subject-based reading program, which allows students to read different kinds of books every month; morning reading and teacher-student book referral, which cultivate students' reading habit and build up extracurricular knowledge. In S4 and S5, Chinese and English reading classes are organized to further enhance students' reading and writing skills. In recent years, our school has been committed to promoting STEM education to enhance students' understanding and application of science, technology and mathematics, and to encourage students to study and participate in extra-curricular competitions.

Teacher professional training and development:

Our school is committed to fostering the professional growth of our teachers to cope with the impact of globalization. Thanks to the continuous support from a team of experts from various disciplines under the Quality School Improvement (QSI) Programme of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, we have been conducting classroom research and independent learning seminars with all teachers of the school by subject and grade, which include peer lesson observation and peer work review, etc., in order to optimize the effectiveness of learning and teaching both inside and outside the classroom. In addition to participating in the "School Initiative Project - Joint Teachers' Professional Development Day", our school has opened up the classroom and shared with the speakers in the "Independent Learning Network Joint Teachers' Development Week" organized by the Hong Kong Association of Heads of Secondary Schools, so as to share with the staff of our alumni schools the experience of implementing independent learning over the years. In recent years, the classroom arrangement is often affected by the epidemic, the school regularly provides teachers with different IT workshops, provides teachers with training and support to cope with the changes in the teaching environment and the learning needs of students, and improves the teaching, so that our school can take care of the needs of the students more effectively and provide appropriate support to help students grow up healthily, happily and fulfillingly.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
Parents may refer to the "Handbook on Application for Secondary One Discretionary Places", or visitEducation Bureau(https://www.edb.gov.hk/) or call: 2891 0088 for a list of schools through the Education Bureau's automated telephone enquiry system.
Parents can submit applications in paper form or through the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) e-Platform. Once an application is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn, canceled or changed.

Parents are advised to consider two important factors when choosing a school for their children: their children's abilities and the characteristics of the preferred school.

You can communicate with your child's subject teachers to learn more about your child's abilities. For the characteristics of the target school, you may refer to the "Profile of a Secondary School" issued by the Committee on Home-School Co-operation to understand the school's philosophy, language of instruction, religion, class structure, etc. You may also refer to the "School Profile" issued by the Committee on Home-School Co-operation to learn more about the school's philosophy, language, religion and class structure.Visit the school's webpage on this websiteThis is because our information is also collected from theSecondary School OverviewThe school's website and information about the school on the internet, including the schools' Youtube Channels.

We believe that as long as we choose suitable schools according to the abilities of our children, we will make them happy to learn and enjoy going to school, which will be most helpful to their studies.

Parents can only apply for a maximum of two participating secondary schools for their children. Note: Applications for Discretionary Places from more than two secondary schools, whether submitted in paper form or through the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) e-platform, will be considered invalid.
There is no district restriction on the application for discretionary places and parents can choose target secondary schools across districts.
