Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
- In line with the Education Bureau's policy of "Integrated Education", the school aims to build an inclusive campus with mutual respect, tolerance and mutual support, so as to help students with special educational needs (SEN) to minimize their learning disabilities and achieve whole-person development. The level of support for students with SEN varies according to their level of special educational needs (SEN). The school adopts a three-tier support model to provide appropriate support to students with different needs. Tier 1: Early identification and quality classroom teaching to help students with transient or mild learning difficulties to prevent their problems from deteriorating. Tier 2: Additional support for students with persistent learning difficulties. Tier 3: Enhanced support for students with more severe problems.
- Students with special educational needs are followed up by counselors and social workers, and case conferences are held to provide supportive guidance to teachers. Adjustments and arrangements for tests and examinations are made according to the guidelines of the Examinations and Assessment Authority (EAA).
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, group learning, etc. on a need basis); organizing cultural integration activities; and providing additional support (e.g. pull-out/group learning, pinyin teaching materials, etc.) as needed in the implementation of Putonghua teaching across the board for some of the grades in the school (i.e., for all classes/groups). The school also provides additional support (e.g. pull-out/group learning, phonics teaching materials, etc.) as necessary for the full implementation of universal education in some grades (i.e. all classes/groups).
