Learning and Teaching Strategies :

Teachers provide guidance to enhance students' interest in learning. In recent years, the school has stepped up the implementation of blended learning and e-learning. Teachers use different online learning and teaching platforms to enhance students' initiative in learning. In addition to focusing on academic performance and cultivating a reading culture, teachers also organize a variety of activities to enhance students' generic skills. Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The school is committed to building a caring and inclusive campus culture, and adopts a Whole School Approach to provide appropriate and diversified support services for students with special educational needs (SEN). The school has set up a Student Support Team, which is coordinated by the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and comprises a guidance teacher, a careers teacher, a Chinese Language teacher, a social worker and an educational psychologist, to provide appropriate support services for students with special educational needs and their parents. To enhance teachers' understanding of integrated education and professionalism, the school encourages teachers to take part in the "Catering for Diverse Learning Needs" training course organized by the Education Bureau. To strengthen teachers' understanding of IE and enhance their professional knowledge, the school encourages teachers to participate in the "Catering for Diverse Learning Needs" training program organized by the Education Bureau, and invites the Educational Psychologist in Residence to provide training for all teachers. In addition, the school has flexibly utilized the "Learning Support Grant" to employ additional IE Teaching Assistants to provide after-school homework tutorials for students in need. The school follows the Whole School Approach to cater for individual differences and implements positive education strategies to support students' special learning needs and test-taking skills. The school has also procured professional support services, such as speech therapy to help students with speech and language impairments to develop their communication and language skills, and registered social workers to provide diversified support services for students with special learning needs. The school emphasizes home-school co-operation and has established a regular communication mechanism to report students' learning progress and achievements to parents. Through different channels, we discuss with parents on strategies to support students' learning and growth.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese language learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive modes of Chinese language teaching and learning (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing cultural integration activities. Teachers are encouraged to pursue NCS Chinese language education programs to keep their teaching strategies up-to-date.
