School Wind:
The school's ethos of pragmatism, simplicity, initiative, care and support, and its concern for the whole-person development of students, will broaden the diversity of students' learning experiences, thereby laying the foundation for lifelong learning.
Learning and Teaching Strategies :
Teaching strategies are closely aligned with gifted education to cater for students' different abilities and talents. In order to enhance the effectiveness of classroom teaching and independent learning, the school emphasizes on stimulating interest in learning, providing constructive feedback, and cultivating students' good habits of "learning before class, learning during class, and reviewing after class". Cooperative learning is promoted in the junior high school classrooms, where every five to six students are placed into a group with two group leaders who are academically competent and willing to help others. These group leaders are trained through the school-based Peer Mentoring Scheme to act as good neighbors and provide timely support and care to students in the classroom. Utilizing information technology to promote interactive learning: Students are encouraged to learn independently through various online platforms.
Teacher professional training and development:
With reference to the T-standard as the professional standard for teachers in Hong Kong, the school has planned a comprehensive teacher development program to encourage teachers to pursue lifelong learning and enhance their teaching quality and professional competence, aiming to become "nurturers who care for students", "co-constructors who inspire students", and "exemplars of dedication and joyfulness". The program consists of school-level, section-level and individual-level training, which are mutually reinforcing.
In order to promote the benefits of gifted education to our students, we are pleased to be recognized by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education as one of the first three pioneer schools in Hong Kong to serve as a "Satellite Centre for Gifted Education". This will not only facilitate students from different districts to enjoy the gifted education programmes organized by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education in the school, but also promote the professional growth of the teachers in the school, and create new gifted education programmes for the gifted students to satisfy their learning needs beyond the traditional curriculum.
Through participating in the Gifted Education Schools Network Scheme (2021/22), teachers will be encouraged by the sharing of the member schools of the Network Scheme to enhance their professional practices, promote the development of sustainable school-based gifted education, and encourage students to focus on developing their talents and achieving their aspirations.

The school has set up an Integrated Education Unit comprising the Deputy Principal, the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, the Special Education Support Teacher, the Guidance Teacher, the School Social Worker and the Educational Psychologist, which is responsible for formulating a comprehensive development plan for integrated education and providing strategic support for students with special educational needs (SEN). Teachers specializing in IE have completed basic, advanced and thematic training courses, and the school will arrange for other teachers to enroll in IE training courses one after another to enhance their professionalism in special education. The school utilizes the Learning Support Grant and other school resources to employ special education support teachers and procure training services to provide diversified support for students with special education needs. In addition to catering for learner diversity through diversified teaching strategies, after-school tutorials and accommodation of homework and tests, the school also conducts regular individual conferences for students with special needs, student assessments and maintains close communication with parents to formulate Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), collect feedbacks and review the effectiveness of the ILPs so as to promote home-school collaboration.
