The Staff Development and Mentoring Section organizes a three-day Staff Professional Development Day every year to enhance professionalism through workshops, seminars, keynote speeches and group discussions, as well as to disseminate information on professional development of teachers through cell phone apps, promote the culture of lesson observation, and allow teachers to share their teaching experience with each other. The school has also set up a new teacher orientation program to take care of new teachers. In addition, the school encourages teachers to participate in refresher courses, workshops and seminars organized by the Education Bureau or other educational institutions.

The School provides additional support to admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing cultural integration activities.
