School-wide language policy:
The school implements mother-tongue teaching and emphasizes the cultivation of students' English proficiency. In order to increase students' exposure to English, the school creates a rich English learning environment for students. The school collaborates with external organizations to organize various activities both inside and outside the school. In order to cater for students' learning diversity, the English Department develops school-based core and extended curricula. Through e-learning and English activities, students' autonomy in learning English is enhanced. The school has implemented the "English Cross-curricular Reading" program to increase students' reading exposure. In the five subjects of the junior secondary curriculum (including Mathematics, Integrated Science, Geography, General Computer Studies and Business Studies), English Extended Learning (EEL) activities are conducted to provide junior secondary students with more opportunities to use English. Students actively participate in cross-curricular English activities and learn English and subject content in interesting ways.
Tests and study adaptation measures:
Each subject emphasizes the review of each test result as a basis for formulating teaching strategies in the future. All subjects account for approximately 25% of the total grade for progressive assessments, such as project work, oral presentations, on-line reading, classroom quizzes, etc., including 5% for homework performance points. Regarding the policy of promotion and retention, the teacher's meeting will decide the list of students to be promoted and retained according to the students' academic performance and the students' conduct. Class teachers and Discipline Officers or Academic Officers will meet with the parents of the students to discuss how to help the students to reset their learning goals and strive for improvement.

Teacher professional training and development:
To cope with the rapid changes in society and the requirements of the New Senior Secondary Academic Structure, teachers are required to strengthen their continuous professional development and to acquire professional learning experiences in various aspects through diversified modes of learning and professional development activities, so as to enhance the quality of their teaching and improve the learning effectiveness of students. Each teacher is required to spend no less than 50 hours per year on professional development courses/activities on two major areas, namely "Professional Roles, Values and Ethics of Teachers" and "Local, National and International Issues in Education", as well as structured learning courses/activities, including those that are Key Learning Areas (KLAs) or subject-based and those that promote whole-person development of students.
At the same time, in order to make professional development meaningful and effective, it emphasizes that teachers must first develop a positive and active belief, values and attitudes, including the belief that every student can be successful, that teachers can dedicate themselves to education, that they care about their students, that they work as a team, that they are willing to share, and that they respect differences and have a pluralistic orientation.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
The School is committed to building an inclusive culture and adopting a Whole School Approach to support students with SEN. Through appropriate resource utilization and support measures, the School provides appropriate and diversified support services for students with SEN to enhance their learning effectiveness, expressive skills and communication skills. The Deputy Principal, Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo), Special Educational Support Teacher (SENST), Teaching Officer and Social Worker work together to plan, implement and review the support for IE in the school. The SEN Co-ordinator, Educational Psychologist, SEN Support Teacher and Social Worker meet with parents and hold joint meetings with the Vice Principal, Educational Psychologist, members of the Student Support Team (including the SENCO, SENST, Academic Advisor, Discipline Officer and Social Worker), class teachers and subject teachers to review the progress of the students and the effectiveness of the support strategies. The school utilizes the Learning Support Program (LSP). The school makes use of the Learning Support Grant (LSA) to purchase professional services (speech therapy, Chinese and English literacy training, social training, positive psychology group, personal growth counseling, emotion management, interest learning, etc.) to provide training and services for students with SEN. The school also provides curriculum, homework and test accommodations for students with SEN.

The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; and organizing cultural integration activities.
