Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The Student Support Team consists of the SEN Co-ordinator (Chinese teacher), three support teachers (one each of Mathematics, English and Chinese teachers), three counseling staff and one teaching assistant. With parents' consent, the School collects information on new SEN students at S1 level to facilitate early identification of their needs. Students with suspected SEN are screened and referred to the Educational Psychologist for follow-up and assessment. Case conferences are held and Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) are designed to provide follow-up and support as necessary. The school utilizes the Learning Support Grant (LSA) flexibly, such as arranging Chinese reading and writing training, concentration training and socialization groups, etc., so that students can receive appropriate support. The school also arranges test accommodations, such as extra time, enlarged examination papers, separate examination rooms, etc., and provides accommodations for students applying for public examinations. The school has also tried out the teaching strategy of Care for Learning Diversity (CLD) in the main subjects, and tiered assignments to enhance the learning effectiveness of students. The school also arranges training courses and activities for teachers to enhance their professional capacity in catering for students with special educational needs. The Student Support Section and the Counseling Section collaborate to participate in the multi-disciplinary "Medical Education Club" project, and organize different mental health and social groups to support students with emotional and social adjustment needs, and to help them integrate into the school life and build an inclusive culture. The school provides a "Student Support Digest" for parents to learn more about the school's support, and promotes home-school communication through questionnaires and face-to-face interviews.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; and organizing cultural integration activities.
