The school has been supporting the "biliteracy and trilingualism" policy and actively enhancing students' biliteracy and trilingualism. The school focuses on mother tongue teaching and offers a Putonghua subject in the junior high school, emphasizing students' ability to master English. All English teachers and Putonghua teachers have passed the benchmark assessment. The school provides cross-curricular reading for all junior high school students in Life and Social Studies to consolidate their English learning. The school employs expatriate teachers and gives students the opportunity to use their language skills in a variety of ways through the Chinese-English reading program, morning reading program, English drama, Chinese-English speech and debate training. Starting from Form 4, the school allows students with higher English proficiency in Physics and Chemistry to sit for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) examination in English.

The Student Support Team consists of the Deputy Principal, SEN Co-ordinator, Guidance Teachers, Chinese, English and Mathematics Teachers, Social Workers and Educational Psychologists. The school utilizes the Learning Support Grant to employ additional staff, including two student teaching assistants. The grant was also used to purchase professional services, such as speech therapy for students with language impairment, and hiring a clinical psychologist to counsel students with emotional problems, while the school's social worker also supported students with emotional disturbances. The school also arranges small class teaching in Chinese, English and Mathematics for Secondary 1 students with learning needs to enhance learning and teaching effectiveness. The school also provides homework adjustment for needy students and organizes Individual Learning Plan (ILP) meetings to design specific and feasible support plans through multi-disciplinary exchanges. Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024.
