We strive to create a learning environment that emphasizes higher-order thinking, encourages active learning, and strengthens students' nine generic skills through inquiry-based project-based learning. In the classroom, we adopt student-centered teaching strategies, such as group activities and discussions, in order to enhance the interaction between teaching and learning. In response to the constant changes of the new paradigm, blended learning and e-learning have been widely adopted in the school. In addition, the curriculum and assessment design of each subject is reviewed and revised using a variety of assessment data with the aim of achieving better student performance.

The school encourages teachers to formulate their own professional development plans according to their own needs and those of the school. In addition, the school has set up a task force to coordinate school-based training workshops and professional seminars.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
The Student Support Team provides support for gifted students and students with special educational needs. It consists of the Head of Learning and Teaching, the Student Support Team Co-ordinator, the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and subject teachers in English, Chinese, Mathematics, Integrated Science and Visual Arts. The school makes use of various resources, including the Learning Support Grant and the Multi-Learning Grant, to develop students' talents in different subjects. Some of the school-based gifted and talented programs include the Mathematics Mastery Program, Science Competition, Fashion Show, Artist-in-Residence Program, etc. The school also represents the gifted and talented students to participate in the International Arts Festival and the International Arts Festival. Gifted students also represent the school in a number of gifted programs and competitions organized by tertiary institutions. The School is also committed to supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), including early identification of SEN, collaboration with different groups (e.g. teachers, parents, guidance teams, school social workers, educational psychologists, school-based speech therapists, and staff of the Education Bureau), provision of special examination arrangements, provision of a school-based subject enrichment program for Secondary 1 to 6 students, a school-based homework support centre for lower primary students by Secondary 3 to 5 students, and an After-school Learning Support Centre and a speech and language support centre for lower primary students. After-school Learning Support Centers and Speech Therapy are also available. Special education courses and seminars are also organized for teachers to enhance their professional capacity in catering for learner diversity.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, small group learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing cultural integration activities. The school organizes summer bridging courses and a companion program for them to help them integrate smoothly into school life and learn happily. The school also prepares students for internationally recognized language examinations.
