School-wide language policy:

The school has been implementing mother-tongue education since 1997, and the results are well recognized and appreciated by parents and students. The school also emphasizes the learning of English. In addition to the regular expatriate English teachers, the school has recruited other expatriate English tutors, implemented the Extensive Reading Program, English Week, Creative Writing, English Debate Training, English Club, and set up an English room to enhance students' English proficiency. 2009, some subjects in senior secondary schools began to switch to English teaching; 2010, some subjects in some classes in junior secondary schools began to switch to English teaching, which will be extended to all levels of the school year by year. In 2010, some subjects in junior high school classes will be taught in English, and the program will be extended to all grades of the school year by year.
In recent years, the English Language Section has also worked together with other subjects to design cross-curricular (LAC) English Language Learning Units, so that students' learning of English can be interwoven with the learning of other subjects.

A whole-school approach to pastoral care is implemented to help students. Each teacher is able to teach and counsel students with dedication, and most classes have a dual class teacher system, with two social workers serving students and helping families in need. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) has set up scholarships, charitable funds, and a teaching development fund to support the work of the school.

Cultivating active and independent learning is the focus of the school's training program. In the classroom, teachers use group discussions and e-learning to help students learn actively. The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
