School-wide language policy:

The school implements a diversified language policy to cater for the different learning needs of students. At the subject level, the school has adopted English as the Medium of Instruction (MOI) for Mathematics at the junior secondary level this year and will implement it at senior secondary levels on a yearly basis. At the junior secondary level, English is used as the medium of instruction for "Personal, Social and Humanities Education", "Science Education" and "Technology Education" in some classes. For other Chinese-medium classes, English Extended Learning Activities (ELA) are conducted in the classroom to provide students with more opportunities to access and utilize English at junior secondary levels. At the senior secondary level, students may choose to take subjects such as "Personal, Social and Humanities Education", "Science Education" and "Introduction to Business, Accounting and Finance" in English according to their individual abilities. In addition, in order to create an environment conducive to the learning of English, the school has set up English morning assembly, English day, English wall boards and English ambassadors, etc. Students are also encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities, such as Inter-school Speech Festival and English Learning Tours outside the country, etc., so as to provide students with a lively way to learn English. A "Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher System" is implemented from Forms 1 to 5, and a revision group is organized after school to help students complete their lessons and revision.
