The school has continued to optimize its whole-school language policy to strengthen the biliteracy and trilingualism contexts, to effectively support English-medium teaching and to actively support the Education Bureau in implementing the fine-tuning of the Medium of Instruction (MOI) policy at junior secondary levels. In some junior secondary classes, Mathematics, Science, Science Exploration, Geography, History, Basic Business and Computer Technology and Life Education are taught in English, while other subjects are taught with English vocabulary in the teaching process. Senior secondary students may choose to take the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination in English. The teacher-to-class ratio for Chinese and English at senior secondary levels has been lowered to enhance learning and teaching effectiveness. Ceremonies, announcements, and publications are conducted in a biliterate and trilingual mode, and teachers in all subjects work actively with the English Department to create a rich biliterate and trilingual campus atmosphere. We are committed to building an inclusive culture and adopting a Whole School Approach to support students with SEN. We utilize the Learning Support Grant to provide appropriate and diversified support services to students, with a view to enhancing their learning effectiveness and facilitating their integration into school life. The SEN Team consists of the Principal (Student Affairs), Deputy Principal (Learning and Teaching), SEN Co-ordinator, Educational Psychologist, teachers, counselors and teaching assistants. The team collaborates with other sections to support students in need. After-school remedial classes and reading and writing training classes are organized for junior secondary students in need to enhance their writing and reading skills through small class care for learning diversity. In addition, a professional speech therapist is stationed at the school to provide speech therapy services to help students improve their comprehension and expression skills.
Psychologists also conduct assessments for needy students, adjust learning, homework and test arrangements, and formulate individual learning plans for needy students.
