School-wide language policy:
The school mainly uses Chinese as the medium of instruction and emphasizes the enhancement of students' Chinese and English language skills. Enrichment classes are organized for both Chinese and English, and small class teaching is implemented in both Chinese and English, with six groups of four classes for each level from S1 to S3, and five groups of four classes for each level from S4 to S5, in order to cater for students' learning diversity. An extensive reading program is implemented to enhance language proficiency. The school also offers an after-school English enrichment program and an after-school English conversation program. The school is committed to implementing the "biliteracy and trilingualism" policy through the use of expatriate English teachers, English week, English ambassador training, reading program, recitation, morning assembly speeches, reading reports, and project learning presentations. The Language Teaching and Learning Support Section of the Education Bureau provides language teaching and learning support services to the school, strengthens the overall planning of the English language school-based curriculum, develops a balanced and coherent school-based curriculum, and achieves horizontal linkage and vertical articulation of the curriculum.

With the theme slogan "Live a wonderful life, achieve your dreams; create a harmonious world, be self-disciplined and self-respectful", the school promotes students' active participation in school life and service to the community through a wide range of activities, such as the Secondary School Adaptation Challenge Camp, the Campus Fun Corner, the Campus Radio, the Social Skills Group, the Peer Mediation Service, the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Scheme, the Match Makers Project, the Good Students Award Scheme and the Dreams Come True Project, among others. Learning and Teaching Strategies :
The school encourages students to be diligent in their studies and emphasizes the cultivation of students' moral character. Through the cultivation of Buddhist philosophy, students are able to have a correct outlook on life, so that they can distinguish between right and wrong, and be helpful to the community, and become good citizens of the society. Learning and teaching are student-centered, cultivating students' generic skills, emphasizing the enhancement of students' motivation, ethos and self-learning ability, optimizing students' other learning experiences, actively implementing the four key components, and promoting students' learning and reflection through diversified assessments. The school is committed to catering for the diversity of student learning by designing the curriculum according to students' abilities and interests, as well as offering practical subjects to meet the needs of the community. Tutorials are provided at Secondary 1 level to enhance students' learning effectiveness.
Teacher professional training and development:
The school has set up a "Teacher Professional Development Unit" to co-ordinate in-school and out-of-school teacher professional development activities to complement the school's various developmental efforts, so as to enable teachers to continue to grow professionally, and to strengthen their skills in teaching, taking care of students' learning differences, counseling students and self-evaluation. Seminars are often organized in conjunction with other secondary schools of the Association to enhance teaching skills. The school also encourages peer lesson observation and group lesson planning for teachers of all subjects to enhance mutual exchange.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
In respect of integrated education, the school has set up a "Student Support Team" comprising a Special Education Co-ordinator, an Educational Psychologist, a Specialized Counselor, a Guidance Counselor and a Resident Social Worker. Regular meetings are held to set up appropriate support plans for students in need. Apart from understanding the learning needs of students through class management meetings, the school has also set up small group teaching in junior secondary schools to introduce different forms of language adaptation courses. In addition, the school organizes regular seminars to enhance teachers' understanding of integrated education, and encourages staff to participate in the Education Bureau's "Catering for Diverse Learning Needs" training programme to enhance their professional knowledge. The school adopts a diversified mode of support by making flexible use of the Learning Support Grant and outsourcing professional support services including dyslexia, speech therapy and occupational therapy.
For non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students with special educational needs (SEN), the School also provides appropriate after-school support and individual counseling for follow-up. The School attaches importance to home-school co-operation and organizes regular parent-teacher conferences for students with special educational needs, so that parents can understand their children's learning situation and work together to support their learning and growth.

The School provides additional support to admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing cultural integration activities.
