Chinese is the medium of instruction, and a Putonghua subject is offered. The school emphasizes the importance of English learning and has recruited additional foreign English teachers to provide students with more opportunities to get in touch with and use English. The school also cooperates with Hang Seng University in organizing English classes for students to enhance their English proficiency and interest in learning. The English teacher also organizes various activities, such as English Day and English games, to encourage students to use English.

Tests and study adaptation measures:

We have implemented the "Continuous Assessment" model, which is based on the principle of "more assessment, quicker feedback, and more correction", and there are two interim assessments and two examinations throughout the year. Homework, classroom assignments, short tests, and project-based learning are all included in the assessment results. Orientation and Healthy Living:

S1 organized the "I Can Fly" orientation program, which included day camps, introductory courses of various subjects, adventure activities, disciplinary training and bridging courses of Chinese, English and Mathematics. There were also talks and seminars for Secondary School parents. After the commencement of the school year, all Secondary One students will participate in the Learning Methods Workshop, take part in the Uniformed Team Training, and attend Life-wide Learning Activities and Thematic Learning Activities to help the new students integrate into secondary school life.

With the spirit of care and deepening class operation, there are two class teachers for S.1 to S.5, and students are required to stay at school for lunch.
In addition to the school social worker, professional counsellors have been employed to implement the "Channel for Growth", "My Class is My Home", "Lift Your Wings and Fly High", "Healthy Life" and "Peer Counselling" programmes, as well as learning camps, challenge camps for growth, and volunteer services of the Business School Partnership, to deepen the caring culture in a comprehensive manner. In the current school year, the school sponsors have continued to subsidize the whole grade of S1, S2 and S4 to participate in offshore learning, teaching and growth support and counseling activities, workplace experience programs and various learning experiences.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

Based on the concept of "Successful Education", the school utilizes diversified teaching strategies, promotes self-directed learning through information technology, develops a student-centered teaching model, and enhances classroom interaction and the effectiveness of learning and teaching. All levels of junior and senior secondary schools are organized to enrich students' learning experience. Based on the centralized curriculum, each Key Learning Area (KLA) develops its own eLearning school-based curriculum with a depth and breadth that matches students' abilities and the needs of society. School-based STEAM curriculum is developed to enhance students' creativity and problem-solving skills through cross-curricular collaboration, and the "BYOD" program is implemented to enhance students' self-directed learning.

Teacher professional training and development:

In addition to the 3 training days a year, the school also makes use of the monthly staff meetings for sharing and exchange. Teachers of the school actively participated in the "Caring for Students with Special Learning Needs" and e-learning teacher training programs. Teachers of the school are often invited by the Education Bureau and alumni schools to share the school's successful experience.

Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The School has set up a Student Support Committee and a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to provide different levels of support for students with special learning needs. Social workers and class teachers are invited to provide timely support to students with SEN through parent seminars.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
