The school is committed to promoting the "biliteracy and trilingualism" policy. All non-language subjects are taught in Chinese at S3; Mathematics and Integrated Science are taught in English in some S1 and S2 classes, and Physics and Chemistry are taught in English in some S3 classes, to increase students' opportunities to use English and to help them articulate to the English-medium curriculum at S4; and Chinese language is taught in Putonghua in all S1 and some S2 classes. Tests and study adaptation measures:

Application for S1 admission:
The school accepts applications for S1 Discretionary Places and participates in the Central Allocation of Secondary School Places (CASPA). The admission principles include: EDB Merit List 50%; Interview 20%; Conduct 20%; Extra-curricular Activities 10%; extra points will be awarded to students who have won internal/external prizes in Physical Education, Music, Art, Design and Technology, or who have special talents in these areas. The school encourages teachers' continuous professional development. Seminars and workshops are organized for teachers to share their insights and experiences in assisting students' personal growth. To promote lifelong learning among teachers, the school has set up a "Teachers' Enhancement Fund" to subsidize teachers' continuing education. Through the "Teaching Mentorship Program for New Teachers", experienced teachers act as mentors to new teachers to help them adapt to the school environment. The school organizes the Joint Teacher Development Day and arranges no less than two professional development days for teachers on issues of concern every year. Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
The Student Support Team, comprising the Principal, Assistant Principal, Integrated Education Coordinator, Academic Officer, Assessment Officer, subject panel chairpersons and social worker, together with the professional support from the Educational Psychologist and the Speech Therapist, make concerted efforts to take care of students with special educational needs (SEN). The school utilizes the Learning Support Grant (LSA) flexibly. Apart from purchasing professional support services, the school also employs social workers, student counselors and teaching assistants to conduct remedial learning activities and career planning for students. The school has an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) for students with special learning needs, and regularly discusses the students' situation with educational psychologists, teachers and parents. The school also provides students with learning needs with appropriate examination adaptation arrangements to support their growth and learning. The school encourages its staff to participate in the Education Bureau's "Catering for Diverse Learning Needs" training program to enhance the professional competence of teachers in catering for students with special educational needs (SEN).
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: after-school Chinese learning support; cultural integration activities; and additional support (e.g. pull-out/group learning, pinyin teaching materials, etc.) as needed in the implementation of universal education for some of the grades (i.e., all classes/groups) in the School. The school utilizes the grant flexibly to help NCS students adapt to Chinese language learning, and has set up after-school Chinese language groups with teaching support staff to follow up on students' progress.
