- Objective: Originally known as Po Leung Kuk Premier Secondary School 1983, the school motto is "Love, Respect, Diligence and Sincerity", and students are nurtured in the five areas of "Moral, Intellectual, Physical, Social and Aesthetic Education". In addition to enriching knowledge, we also aim to cultivate students' good character, elegant sentiment and correct outlook on life.

- Management structure: Creative and efficient. The school is a pilot school under the School Management Initiative. It actively participated in the Pilot Scheme on Strengthening the Administrative Management of Public Sector Schools in 2014/15. The school's ethos is simple and disciplined, and its students are of good character. The school emphasizes whole-school participation in discipline, and has a Discipline Leader and a Counseling Leader, with "each one is responsible for his own behavior" as the disciplinary guideline.
Learning and Teaching Strategies :
In order to encourage active learning, lifelong learning and reading, the school is committed to providing a diversified curriculum. In addition to the traditional curriculum, the school organizes "Project Learning", "Reading Harvest Day", "Activity Courses", "Personal Growth Profile" and other concurrent courses every year to enrich the learning experience and strengthen biliteracy, trilingualism and STEM literacy, so that students can be best prepared for their senior secondary school transition. The school's reading program focuses on cultivating students' interest in reading and training their thinking and appreciation skills to achieve the goal of whole-person education.
Teacher professional training and development:
Principals and teachers actively participated in overseas and local exchange and training activities. In 2021-22, the average number of hours of teacher training far exceeded the basic requirements of EMB.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
The Student Support Team consists of the Deputy Principal, Guidance Counselor, Special Educational Needs Coordinator, Academic Officer, Discipline Officer, Special Education Support Teacher, Chinese Language Teacher, English Language Teacher, Social Worker and Educational Psychologist. The school makes use of the Learning Support Grant to purchase counseling services, speech therapy services and clinical psychology services to provide appropriate support to students, including literacy training, social skills training, concentration training and counseling services for students with specific learning difficulties. Information on support for students with SEN is disseminated to all teachers regularly. If necessary, the school will provide appropriate examination adaptations.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; and organizing cultural integration activities.
