Program Planning
Child-centered: In accordance with children's developmental needs and abilities, and based on children's interests and experiences. Comprehensive and balanced: The program takes into account the overall development of children's cognitive, language, physical, emotional, social, aesthetic, and moral development, and emphasizes the cultivation of knowledge, skills, and attitudes in different learning areas.
The program emphasizes the connection between knowledge and life situations. It utilizes interesting stories to develop children's ability to think and solve problems from multiple perspectives. Children learn through real-life and sensory experiences in the form of games, visits and project studies to stimulate their interest in active learning. We emphasize the enhancement of children's language skills through activities such as parent-child reading, book reading, children's song recitation, storytelling and drama performances. Good character development is also emphasized, such as the "Good Boy Program" and the "Little Leaders Program".
Progressive and summative assessments are used to assess children's learning. Sources of information for assessment include continuous observation and recording of children's daily performance, information provided by parents and children's self-assessment.
The school will comply with theKindergarten Education Curriculum GuidelinesThe (2017) Planning Curriculum will not require children in nursery classes to write in pen and pencil, nor will they be required to do mechanical transcription or drill-based numeracy exercises.
